Celebrating Shire Funding's 20th Anniversary

Today marks the 20^th Anniversary of Shire Funding.

That’s 20 years of helping small businesses by providing them with the funding they need to achieve their goals.

Over the last two decades, we have secured loans for thousands of UK businesses and earned consistently excellent customer feedback along the way.

We think that all this is well worth celebrating.

Founded in 2006 with only 2 employees, Shire Funding is now a 20-strong team. The business was built on a strong foundation of knowledge, experience, and shared ambition.

Another important milestone came when Shire Funding was acquired by Shire Leasing PLC, bringing together two experienced businesses with a shared commitment to supporting UK SMEs.

The company has seen exponential growth over the last 20 years, which we are extremely proud of. The last two years have marked consecutive record years for Shire Funding Solutions, building on two decades of sustained business growth.

Across our 20-year history, we have now completed more than 100,000 deals, helping businesses throughout the UK access the funding they need to invest, adapt and grow, which is a true reflection of the dedication and hard work of our entire team.

We began by focusing on secured loans, but, as we’ve grown, so has our service offering, which has allowed us to offer flexible funding to hundreds of UK businesses.

The company now offers a wide variety of funding solutions, such as:

• Merchant cash advance
• Merchant services
• Commercial mortgages
• Property development finance

Now, secured loans only make up a small part of our offering and our own book lending portfolio now exceeds £13 million, which is an outstanding achievement.

More recently, we have continued to invest in digitalisation and new technology, helping us streamline our processes, respond more quickly and make accessing funding simpler for our customers.

A huge reason for the success of Shire Funding is its employees, the people behind all the closed deals, every satisfied customer, and the positive culture that makes Shire Funding a great place to work. There has always been a special community and team spirit among the team; some wonderful memories have been made over the last 20 years.
